The elements don’t change, time nurtures myth, man creates technologies and we turn them into beautiful boats with our bare hands. Founded in 1976, Finn Yachts’ predecessor Polar Yacht was one of the first yards to produce sailing craft using sandwich laminates. Today the Finn Flyers are a clever marriage of cutting-edge technologies and skilled artisan workmanship. Most of the components you’ll find aboard your Finn Flyer – from the hull to the joinery, flush hatches and steel hardware – are all custom-made in-house.

The hulls, decks and the interior are built in our own technology ACCY that uses Divinycell sandwich, combining unidirectional and biaxial fibres, and vinylester or epoxy resin. The Divinycell is glued to the skins using vacuum bagging and the reinforcements are layered directly onto the hull, to avoid the use of inner moulds and deliver maximum structural rigidity. That gives a light, stiff and fast Finn Flyer for fast cruising and racing. Our boats are called Finn Flyers and we build them for people who share our passion because these boats, like passion itself, stand the test of time.
