About us / CE and DNV approvals

All our yachts are built in accordance with the CE category A – Ocean.

FinnYachts uses Det Norske Veritas (DNV) as a Notified Body to ensure that FinnFlyer 34, 36 and 42 yachts are designed and built according to the latest European rules and regulations.

DNV type-certifies the models as well as verifies all boats in continuous production. Therefore the buyer can be sure that an independent third party has been involved in his/her boat creating additional safety as well as higher re-sale value. As s sign of this, a DNV Certification Plate is attached to every boat.

Det Norske Veritas is an independent foundation; purpose is to safeguard life, property and the environment. DNV has over 100 years experience in recreational craft certification and it also is an ISAF Recognised Notified Body.
